Separately, staff reported they are getting cost estimates and renderings to repair the outside of City Hall and asked about builders-risk insurance to protect already completed work in the event of a disaster. The minutes record that staff raised the insurance question during the discussion.
Next steps noted in the minutes include finalizing contract allowances that could lower cost estimates, returning to council with a formal resolution from the City Manager, and confirming financing options before signing the contract.
