Willard City Council voted on Feb. 2 to schedule the city’s fireworks display for Thursday, July 2, 2026, with a rain date of Sunday, July 5, 2026, after staff reported the vendor’s availability. Council members noted the vendor had openings the weekend before and after and agreed to the July 2 date unless the vendor notifies the city of a cancellation.
The motion to set the dates was moved by Councilmember Olson and seconded by Danhoff and carried unanimously. No budgetary figure was given at the meeting.
