The Willard City Council voted to adopt three ordinances related to municipal pay at the Jan. 5 meeting.
Ordinance 6018-25 sets the wages for Recreation Department employees; Ordinance 6019-25 sets wages for certain department heads; and Ordinance 6020-25 sets wages for certain city officials, fire department personnel and other city employees. Each ordinance was presented for a second reading by title and adopted after a motion, second and unanimous roll call vote of the seven councilmembers present.
The minutes record the actions as formal adoptions by council; the ordinances were presented by the Council Clerk by title only at second reading and adopted without recorded amendments. The clerk recorded the yea votes of Babcock, Danhoff, Daniel, McKenzie, Olson, Sattig and Vanichek for each ordinance.
Council did not discuss salary schedules in detail in the minutes; the adopted ordinances set the official wage schedules as reflected in the ordinance documents.
