During the pull‑item discussion Dr. Castro pressed for outcome metrics: how the district will collect usage and achievement data tied to the license, how many students will use the program, and whether adoption timing aligns with the state’s planned ELA/EL adoption in 2026–27. The superintendent said many teachers had been part of the evaluation and reiterated that the license is presented as the district’s ELA/EL core for grades 6–12 and that funding availability will govern implementation.
