West Allis committee approves special-event extension for Paul’s Club

The West Allis Public Safety Committee approved a temporary special-event and Class B premise extension request for Paul’s Club at 8031 West Greenfield Avenue, the committee announced during its meeting.
Applicant Christine Bodiac and her agent were sworn in before testimony. Alderman Helverson, the district representative, praised the venue as “an upstanding business” that draws foot traffic and said he had no complaints that would justify denying the request. Bodiac told the committee the extension covers multiple events scheduled between May 22 and Sept. 30, 2026, with hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Bodiac said the club had to cancel several events last year because of rain and heat and had rescheduled some bands; organizers said they sent a flyer to neighbors setting dates and times. She said teardown usually takes about an hour after events and that “there’s no volume after 7:15–7:30” p.m., and that they are diligent in staying within assigned parameters.
A committee member moved to approve the extension; the motion received a second and the committee voted in favor. The committee chair closed discussion and wished the applicant a good season.
The approval covers the special events described in item 34 (2026-03878). The applicant and the committee emphasized neighbor notification and noise controls; the city clerk administered the oath to applicants before testimony.
