Apache Junction board approves fundraising delegation, clinical partnership, food truck purchase and routine policies

The Apache Junction Unified School District governing board approved a slate of routine actions at its Sept. 24, 2024 meeting, including delegation of fundraising approvals to site principals, a clinical affiliation with A.T. Still University, a partnership agreement with the State of Arizona Department of Homeland Security, and the purchase of a refrigerated food-delivery van.
On fundraising, the board voted to approve the district's 2024'25 fundraising list and to delegate day-to-day approval of routine fundraisers to site principals working with the business office; the board retained authority to approve newly chartered clubs. Mrs Salazar explained schools submitted requests and the delegated authority is intended to streamline approvals.
