He said the current change increases fees by roughly 2.6% to align the regional fees with construction cost trends.
One public commenter urged council members to note that TUMF and related regional fees add materially to the cost of building single-family homes, calling some fee totals "jaw-dropping." Council members said the city must balance infrastructure funding needs with housing affordability.
The council voted 5-0 to introduce Ordinance 3427 by title and advance it for the required second reading and adoption at a future meeting.
