After closing the public hearing, the council moved and seconded a motion to appoint Yia Bailey to the Ward Two seat. The motion passed by voice vote with no discussion.
The council then moved and seconded a motion to appoint Kent Grant to the Ward Five seat. When the chair called the vote one councilmember recorded an abstention; the motion passed with the remaining recorded votes in favor.
The appointments were followed by applause. With no further business, the council moved to adjourn.
