The City Manager presented a plaque to Mike Elmlinger in recognition of his years of service.
Council members across the dais—Daniel and Babcock among them—thanked Mr. Elmlinger for his assistance when new members joined Council and for his years of service. The minutes note that Kim Elmlinger is also retiring with a last day on Jan. 9, 2026, and that a staff member, Dan Thorton's, last day is on the coming Wednesday; Council announced a small celebration for Dan Thorton.
Members extended holiday greetings and closed the meeting after a motion to adjourn carried unanimously. The minutes record thanks to the Elmlinger family and recognition of staff departures; Council did not take formal personnel actions at this meeting—these were acknowledgments and farewells.
