Mr. Nunemaker said the total project cost is estimated at about $3,500,000 and that the city's pro rata contribution for a limited Phase 1 scope would be roughly $350,000–$380,000 based on the city’s proportional park, street and right-of-way footprint. Council members expressed support and asked staff to formalize an MOU with the partnering improvement district and to return with survey and contract details. Council reached consensus to continue the project and start the work needed to carry the design through permitting and the election period that may change governance for the improvement district.
