Natrona County parks board approves minutes, schedules budget work session

The Board of Trustees of the Natrona County Parks & Recreation System met April 9, 2026. Chairman Dave North called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.; Trustee Justin Kinner moved to approve the minutes from April 1, 2026, Trustee Stacey Zeidler seconded, and the motion carried.
The board discussed a budget review and scheduled a budget work session for April 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. to finalize the submittal. Trustees also discussed scheduling for a CMTC drop inlet and plans for a Hell’s Half Acre ribbon-cutting event; the minutes record discussion but do not include implementation dates or contract details for those items.
Trustees agreed to move forward with establishing email accounts and cloud storage for trustees to share and store documents. The minutes do not record technical or vendor details for that change.
During public comment, Mr. Burgess thanked the board for its dedication to outdoor recreation, praised CWTA for clearing downed trees, and reported discovery of a campsite on the biathlon area. Trustee Justin Kinner thanked Mr. Burgess during trustees’ comments; Trustee DeVore described Casper Mountain as a community “gem” and Chairman Dave North again thanked CWTA for ongoing assistance.
With no further comments the chairman closed the floor and adjourned the meeting at 6:35 p.m.
