District to seek RFP to recable Alammans for Category 2 federal funding; initial outlay to be reimbursed

Staff described a strict RFP specification set that includes detailed technical and cost breakdowns, evaluation criteria, and contractor qualifications, and said the project itself would likely take about a month to complete during summer when funding is administered. Committee members discussed scoring weights and requested corrections to a percentage line item in the proposed scoring table.
Next steps: staff will finalize the RFP attachments and timeline, publish the RFP, and return a recommended vendor and award to the board following evaluation and scoring.
