Satellite career center reports higher credentialing and dual-enrollment gains

Dr. Czech Snider (superintendent-level presenter) and Mr. Lane Fitzgerald, the satellite center administrator, said the center met its goal to increase students earning advanced credentials to 17% in 2024—25 (45 students), up from 14% the prior year. The center reported fall-semester enrollment of 493 students with a spring projection of about 478; administrators noted enrollment may shift slightly with schedule changes.
The center introduced new courses this year, including aviation and industrial maintenance (the latter enrolled 31 students). Administrators said they continue partnerships for dual enrollment and technical certificates; the update reported 347 students earned college credit through dual-enrollment courses and that some students completed technical certificates in medical assisting, hospitality management and process technology through local community-college partnerships.
Administrators also said the center is aligning course offerings with regional workforce needs and plans to host an open house and community showcase on November 4 to highlight program pathways and industry partnerships.
Next steps: staff will continue to expand industry-aligned course offerings and monitor dual-enrollment and credential outcomes; outreach to middle-grade students (including fifth graders at recent events) will continue to broaden the pipeline into career-technical programs.
