The Burr Ridge Board of Trustees voted on Jan. 13 to approve an amendment to Village Administrator Evan Walter’s employment agreement.
Trustee Russ Smith thanked Walter for his work for residents and asked whether a successor contract issued after the current mayoral term would remain financially consistent aside from typical cost-of-living adjustments and benefits changes; the board said it intends to keep future compensation consistent but noted the incoming mayoral administration would have authority to negotiate future contracts.
The motion to approve the amendment carried on a roll-call vote with the trustees voting in favor.
