At a public bid opening, Nikki Thompson, procurement analyst for the Glynn County Board of Commissioners, read four bids submitted for IFB26-028, the Driftwood Drive boardwalk construction project. Thompson closed the bid opening after reading the totals and invited questions by email.
The four bids read on the record were: CNL Landscape Incorporated (Jacksonville) — the transcript records a high figure shown as "$1,178,000" though formatting was unclear; Overholt Construction (Jessup) — $789,272; an entry read as "Schro" (St. Simons Island) with a recorded figure appearing as $617,479 but the transcript formatting is garbled; and SJ Hamill Construction LLC (Charleston) — $849,779. Thompson said a posted bid tabulation sheet on the county website will provide the official totals.
Thompson reminded listeners that procurement staff and the project manager will review the paperwork for accuracy and completeness, and that the recommended award will be presented to the finance committee and then the full Glynn County Board of Commissioners. Because portions of the recorded stream contained formatting errors for some bid amounts, the county's posted tabulation is the authoritative record.
