Yucaipa‑Calimesa celebrates 64 students on track for Seal of Biliteracy; multiple schools earn PBIS honors

Dr Anderson invited Dr Susan Brown, the district’s special projects director, to announce students on track for the California Seal of Biliteracy. "We have 64 students that are on track right now," Dr Susan Brown said, adding the district had been noted by the county for growth in biliteracy proficiency.
Education services staff then presented Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) recognitions. Officials explained silver, gold and platinum levels require progressively deeper implementation across universal (tier 1), selective (tier 2) and intensive (tier 3) supports, plus student outcome data showing positive effects. Several elementary schools and middle schools were named at silver and gold levels; one school attained platinum recognition.
