"Many of these problems exist because of lack of funding," Reynolds said. She said student teams and sports often must fundraise for equipment, and she urged the board to inform staff, families and students about remediation plans and timelines.
Reynolds said she is in her final year but has siblings and friends who will remain in the school and asked for the same care for future students. She also reported an increase in pests and other issues in the two months prior to her comments.
Board members thanked Reynolds for coming; the board did not announce a specific remediation plan, timeline or funding source on the record during the meeting. The transcript shows the comment was received and acknowledged but no action was moved during the public-comment period.
