SRVUSD board approves tentative agreements with CSEA Units 2 and 3; disclosure estimates modest added cost

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District board voted to approve tentative agreements reached with the California School Employees Association (CSEA), Chapter 65, Units 2 and 3 as part of annual reopener negotiations for 2024–25.
Assistant Superintendent Danny Hillman provided the statutorily required public disclosure (AB 1200 and AB 2756) of major provisions and estimated fiscal impacts. Hillman said one of the principal changes was adding a single workday for classifications that are school‑day employees (for training, compliance and other needs). He presented cost estimates the district expects to incur and said the county office reviewed and concurred with the district’s cost analysis.
Assistant Superintendent Melanie Jones thanked bargaining teams on both sides for collaborative negotiations and presented both tentative agreements; the board moved, seconded and approved both agreements by voice vote.
Hillman summarized estimated costs for the current year and noted some costs are multifunded (LCFF, child nutrition, site donations). The agreements were approved on a consent/roll call motion at the meeting and staff said the financial impact will be reflected in the district’s year‑to‑date and interim reporting.
