Executive Director Julie Goldberg presented the MTSS plan and timeline. District staff completed a district‑level LISA self‑assessment last year and identified three priorities for scaling MTSS: data systems, collaborative teams, and evidence‑based Tier‑1 instruction. The proposed rollout begins with a cohort model (15 schools) that will use a fidelity assessment (FIA), root‑cause analysis and Plan‑Do‑Study‑Act cycles. Goldberg said MTSS implementation requires better analytics than current systems provide and staff will develop data cycles — a summative baseline, plus interim cycles to track progress within the year — and will align MTSS work with LCAP and school‑level SPSA plans.
Trustees asked for measurable metrics and interim indicators to track year‑over‑year progress and for clarity about how metrics will differ by school level. Goldberg said staff will return with additional materials in the coming months showing data cycles, early metrics, and the cadence for reporting to the board.
