April O'Conor, speaking during public comment at the Sept. 11 Paramount Unified board meeting, accused a named board member of retaliation and said she had received derogatory social‑media comments and a phone call in which the board member asked for her personal health information.
"I received a phone call from one of our board members Miss quenta on Sunday inappropriately asking me for personal health information," O'Conor said. "This is ridiculous ... you are unfit for this position and you should step down."
The allegation was made during the speakersegment; the transcript does not record any on‑the‑record response from the board member named in the comment during the meeting.
Board procedures provide public comment time for members of the community to raise concerns; the meeting record shows O'Conor's statements as public comment rather than a board‑initiated ethics inquiry. The transcript does not show the board taking immediate disciplinary or investigatory action during the meeting.
