Flowers said the board previously approved Spanish levels 1 and 2 in November 2023 and that level 3 had completed piloting. He described a required public-review period of at least 30 days and said parents would receive an email and have digital access to review materials. "By Ed Code we—re required to do this for a minimum of 30 days," Flowers said, and noted the district's board policy 6161.1 for parent involvement in curriculum adoption.
