The Macomb Committee of the Whole conducted several routine procedural actions during its June 30 meeting.
The committee agreed to move three grant applications that staff identified as already submitted onto the upcoming consent agenda. A motion was made and seconded; members approved the motion by voice vote. The mover and seconder were not captured in the transcript but the Chair announced the motion carried.
Earlier in the meeting the committee discussed an ordinance to grant a Class R+ extended-hours liquor license for Arowwood Hospitality LLC doing business as Rocky's Bar and Grill. The ordinance had a first reading on June 2 and was tabled at the council meeting on June 16; the Chair said the item will remain on the table until the council meeting on July 7 when the council may bring it off the table for action.
Near the end of the session the Chair moved and members seconded a motion to go into executive session to consider the purchase or lease of real property for the public body pursuant to section 2(c)(5) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act. A roll call showed all seven members present and the motion carried. The Chair stated there would be no public action coming out of that executive session tonight.
These items were primarily procedural; no new appropriations were adopted during the committee session.
