Jefferson County council approves prosecutor transfer and $141,188 in additional IT contract funding

The Jefferson County Council approved budget adjustments on April 14, including a $7,500 transfer to establish a Drug Prosecutor summer-intern account and an additional appropriation to complete the county’s new 2026 IT contract.
Pam Crozier moved to approve the $7,500 transfer to create account 1000.11166.00000.0009 for a prosecutor summer intern; Ray Black seconded and the motion passed 7-0.
The council also approved additional funding for the IT contract identified as Resolution 2026-009. The increase totals $141,188, with $70,594 added to account 1170.30033.00000.0000 and $70,594 to account 1112.30033.00000.0000 to finish the contract for 2026. Heather Foy moved approval, Pam Crozier seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.
Council members did not attach conditions to the approvals during the meeting. The transfers and additions will be reflected in county budget records and considered during upcoming budget hearings for departmental equipment requests that were mentioned during liaison reports.
