Wright County authorizes RFP for Ag Business Park marketing and brokerage services

The board approved a motion authorizing issuance of an RFP/RFQ and named Bedwick and Dean C. (as transcribed) to serve on the scoring committee.
Why it matters: county officials said professional marketing could attract investment or tenants that would increase local employment and taxable activity. The board did not commit funding for property acquisition or incentives in this motion; the authorization was limited to procurement of marketing/brokerage services.
Board action: motion by CL, second by Rasmusen, carried; the board directed staff to advertise the RFP/RFQ and to report scoring-committee recommendations to the board when proposals are evaluated.
