Board members moved and seconded the motion to approve; the roll call recorded Paul Alexander, Dr. Shante Jones, Ellen Slabadnik, Zack Graham and Jen Moyers voting yes. The motion passed 5–0.
The superintendent noted that the proposal and supporting charts had been discussed in previous work sessions and that a question-and-answer document is available to board members. The board will present this approved school board budget to the governing body the following evening, where district staff expect additional questions.
The approval completes the school board’s portion of the local budget process; the next procedural step is the governing body’s review and vote. No amendments were made on the floor during the board’s vote.
The board adjourned and reminded the public of an upcoming regular meeting on the 13th at 6 p.m. in the same board chambers.
