Staff said the unit is intended for club members and guests, not open to the general public, will mirror existing on‑site building materials and shingles, and will be sited about 450 feet from the road with landscaping and screening to reduce visibility.
Commissioners noted the site had been rezoned in 2024 to allow the Crossroads designation and asked for clarification that the lodging would serve members and guests rather than operate as a public hotel; staff and commissioners confirmed it is intended for members/guests. Following a motion invoking public necessity, convenience and good zoning practice, the commission took a roll call vote and approved the pattern book 5‑0.
The approval covers the submitted design. Staff said additional details such as landscaping plans, colors, and final elevations will be included in subsequent permit materials the applicant must file before construction.
