Wildwood Crest council adopts routine ordinances and resolutions, sets Oct. 22 hearing on salary ordinance

All motions were moved, seconded and approved by roll call with the three members present voting yes.
Council authorized advertisements to solicit bids for several beach-related concessions and services, including: rentals for ice cream sales (contract language confirmed to include bottled water), rental of beach umbrellas and chairs and approved flotation devices, and a beach surf camp and water-safety instruction program. The borough also authorized participation in a national cooperative purchasing program and approved payment of all properly authorized bills.
An appointment to the Wildwood Crest Backbay Dredging Advisory Committee — Carmen Alamino, term through Dec. 31, 2026 — was approved after council confirmed the committee currently has about six members.
A separate purchase authorization approved the acquisition of a 2026 Ford F-350 cab and chassis (extended cab, 4x4) under state contract for $90,933 to mount and operate a valve exerciser used by sewer operations; council members asked whether leasing had been considered and staff replied the vehicle must be configured for the valve equipment.
