She reported the district's graduation rate rose from 92% to 94% since the prior reporting period and said the district is concentrating efforts on math achievement where growth remains a priority.
"The work that I'm sharing today is truly a collaborative effort," Dr. Gandi said, citing coordination across special education, student services, and educational services teams. She added the LCAP midyear update is being brought forward to meet Education Code requirements and that staff will continue to track subgroups and refine actions tied to the plan's goals.
Trustees asked clarifying questions about how LCAP goals intersect with capital projects (for example, whether building additions could change campus capacity) and about transfer and attendance-boundary implications; staff said these operational issues would be addressed in follow-up presentations aligned with the bond and boundary planning timeline.
The LCAP update concluded with trustees commending staff on the graduation-rate improvement and requesting continued attention to math outcomes and family engagement strategies.
