The Knox County Beer Board met March 23 and approved two beer-permit applications for new District 6 businesses.
Applicant Glenn Curtley testified that Soccer Taco (4517 Market) would offer on-premises beer sales, confirmed managers had completed server training and that the business was leased rather than owner-occupied; county safety and code reviewers raised no unresolved objections though the health department needed to sign off. District 6 Commissioner Hill recommended approval and the board voted to approve the on-premises permit.
The board then considered A Bridge Burger Company (4528 Market), represented by Jesse Bowers, who said the location would operate on- and off-premises beer sales and that managers had completed server training. The board noted pending certificates of occupancy and state registration requirements and approved the application with District 6 support pending the CO.
Both motions passed by roll-call votes; applicants were congratulated and staff were instructed to complete outstanding administrative checks before certificates were issued.
