John Lombardo told the board the work responds to his wifes long-standing request to repair and improve the front approach.
Board members expressed support for improving the neighborhoods appearance and moved to grant the variance. The motion passed with board members voting in favor; no public opposition was recorded.
The board did not record additional conditions beyond standard permits and inspection, and applicants said the new porch would be constructed with long-lasting composite materials.
