Bulls Run Nature Sanctuary asks city for porta‑let, bridge repairs and support for invasive‑species work

Clark described bridge repairs funded through grants from the Middletown Community Foundation, Butler Metroparks of Butler County and a private donor; the contractor is ready to start when weather allows. She said a five‑year CSP grant will fund invasive plant removal (already in its first year) to address bush honeysuckle and other nonnative species. Clark listed volunteer workdays beginning Mar 22 and wildflower walks scheduled for late March and April and said volunteers help plant native seedlings and maintain the mile‑long trail system on Rosedale Road.
The nonprofit asked the city to supply a porta‑let at the park from April through October; Clark said Scott (a volunteer) had agreed to help coordinate the request and that providing the porta‑let would be a substantial help. Council thanked Clark and encouraged residents to visit Bulls Run.
The council took no formal vote on the request; staff follow‑up through the city manager’s office was indicated as the standard procedure for citizen requests.
