The board moved and approved resolution 2607 and an accompanying proclamation to declare a state of local disaster emergency so the county remains eligible for assistance if conditions worsen. A motion to approve the minutes and warrants passed by voice vote. The board also approved property abatements numbered 20260014 through 20260018.
On procurement, the board accepted a bid from CO Construction for ceiling tiles and breezeway work (an amount discussed in the meeting was $3,800) and approved work by Merkel’s (Berkeland) garage door on a shop-door opener at the lower quoted price. Commissioners authorized purchasing parts for belly-dump gravel trailers and a replacement turbo for unit 222 (vendor Foley). Road-maintenance staff reported a bid from Sweeny’s Pavement Maintenance for crack sealing at $25,100; the board approved the crack-seal work and asked staff to obtain at least one additional quote before committing to a 200-foot overlay.
All routine items were approved by voice vote; the transcript records motions and seconds and the chair’s call for those in favor, but it does not contain roll-call tallies. No formal action was recorded to authorize signing any clinic development contract or to purchase an additional fire ‘attack’ truck.
The board also scheduled and approved short executive sessions: one for advice of counsel and a 10-minute session to discuss non-elected personnel related to the county fire chief. The meeting adjourned after the scheduled business.
