Planning staff asked the Board to authorize Alameda County to sign a memorandum of understanding to participate in ABAG’s East Bay Corridor strategy, aimed at coordinating regional planning and priority development along East 14th and Mission Boulevard in the Cherryland and Ashland areas. Staff said the county would serve as a partner and that the resolution and MOU would enable the county to work on a coordinated strategy with ABAG and local jurisdictions.
The board moved and approved the resolution without objection (5 ayes). Staff will proceed with signing the MOU and participating in the planning process.
