APC approves two mobile-home placements; one owner fined $500 for lack of prior permit

The board discussed permit timing and state pressure to move units off holding lots; S5 moved to approve the placement but assess a $500 fine for not obtaining the permit before placement. The motion passed with one recorded opposing vote.
Case 2: 7750 East County Road 150 South (to be moved to 3750 South County Road 600 East). The inspector recommended approval for a brand-new single-wide replacement; the board moved, seconded and approved the replacement permit.
Board members reminded property owners that final inspections and certificates of occupancy are required before occupancy for new or moved residences. In the first case the owner agreed to pull proper permits and to follow inspector direction.
Next steps: owners must submit any outstanding permit paperwork and pass required inspections; county staff will track fines and compliance.
