On personnel, staff recommended Taylor Rankin for a temporary Pleasant Hill High School math position vacated mid‑year. Staff summarized his credentials (B.S. in Mathematics, Master’s in Curriculum and Teaching, teaching experience since 2013) and the board approved the personnel action by unanimous vote.
Staff presented the quarter‑three enrollment snapshot: total enrollment 950 students (elementary 416; middle 238; high 296), compared with 931 the prior year. The board accepted the enrollment report without objection.
The board reviewed third‑quarter financial documents: current‑year property taxes of about $3.7 million to date, state school fund payments of $7.5 million received with approximately $1.6 million expected, investment interest receipts and other revenue lines, and summaries of expenditures and encumbrances across salaries, benefits, purchased services, and supplies. Staff reported total cash and investments of about $15.5 million and discussed reserve accounts. The board moved to approve the quarter financial report; the motion passed 4–0.
The board also discussed nonbinding calendar planning and options for Teacher Appreciation Week activities, and recessed into executive session to conduct labor‑negotiation deliberations under ORS 192.650. The board noted the next regular meeting would be April 20 at the community center.
