Atoka withdraws letters of intent for proposed energy park with JRE Strategies and Prismic USA

Council voted to void prior commitment letters, letters of intent and engagement letters dated Dec. 4, 2024 between the city and two consultants (JRE Strategies LLC and Prismic USA LLC) related to a proposed energy park. The administration said the original funding mechanism is no longer pursuing the project and that leaving old letters in place could create confusion or implied commitments for neighboring communities.
Staff said the letters were preliminary and that any future project would be brought back as a new, separate proposal. The Industrial Development Authority later took the same action to withdraw parallel authorizations under its purview.
