Children’s Cove previews refreshed brand ahead of 30th anniversary

Jacob Stapleton, community engagement and education program manager at Children’s Cove, presented a rebranding preview at the Barnstable County commissioners’ meeting on April 8 as the center approaches its 30th year of service.
Stapleton described Children’s Cove as the coordinated regional response for cases involving child sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, witnesses to domestic violence, and commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking. The new visual identity — a sunrise motif and color palette aligned with county branding — is intended to emphasize hope and the center’s role as a department of Barnstable County.
Stapleton said Children’s Cove receives the majority of its funding from the county and also receives state and federal grant funding, including support that is funneled through the Massachusetts Children’s Alliance and federal grant sources. He said the rebrand will roll out during April, which is both National Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Commissioners praised the presentation and affirmed ongoing support; the county’s finance committee has asked for additional background on Children’s Cove during the budget review process.
