To limit those risks, the board agreed the page will initially share agendas and links to meeting recordings and that meeting summaries will be carefully managed (shared among board admins before posting and labeled as pending when appropriate).
Administrators recommended conservatism in early posts and proposed two board administrators (Chrissy and Kurt were discussed) with the chair or vice-chair providing final approval for posts. The board also referenced its existing social-media policy (policy 9327.1) and noted guidance provided during previous training about appropriate conduct by board members on personal pages.
The board asked administration to pilot the page with ‘vanilla’ content for the first cycle and return in May to report on how the pilot performed and whether adjustments are needed.
The motion to proceed passed unanimously.
