Board grants third extension for Chris Craft subdivision filing to Aug. 30

The Borough of Highlands Land Use Board voted unanimously to grant a third extension for the Chris Craft subdivision filing (case 2022-04), giving the applicant until Aug. 30, 2025, to complete deed corrections and record an easement necessary for final filing.
The applicant's counsel told the board that negotiations with an adjacent owner and necessary corrections to deed references delayed the final signatures. Counsel said the team had worked diligently to correct deed and boundary references and that the easement had been signed. During board questioning counsel confirmed the easement had been executed and that deeds and the statutory filing window required the extension.
Board member Mr. Glass moved that the extension run until Aug. 30; the motion carried on a roll-call vote with all members present recorded as voting yes. Staff will verify that the corrected deeds and recorded easement are filed by the deadline.
At the same meeting the board also memorialized resolution LUB25-09 regarding 35 Miller Street and noted the withdrawal of application LUB24-07; that application was refiled as LUB25-10 for a solar-power project at 44 Miller Street. The chair closed public comment and the meeting adjourned after the votes.
