Borough reports Frenchbrook restoration, DOT municipal‑aid projects and county storm‑drain upgrades moving toward bidding

The Frenchbrook restoration project has completed administrative review and entered technical review; the application has been under review since Jan. 23. The borough also received New Jersey Department of Transportation approvals to publicly bid the 2025 municipal‑aid project for Rosalyn/Marian improvements and for Stuben Avenue and related roadwork (Clinton, Lynwood, Maple and Roosevelt). Project documents for public bidding are being finalized.
Separately, a pre‑construction meeting took place May 16 with the county for storm‑drain upgrades on River Road. The work covers 15 locations from Sabrriski Place to Milford Avenue, will proceed from south to north, is scheduled to start the week of June 2 and is estimated to take approximately two months.
The administration said it is preparing a Local Infrastructure Fund application to NJDOT for additional roadway work and has submitted a grant extension request for the Main Street improvement project; responses are pending. The clerk and engineering staff will post bidding timelines and contact information when final documents are released.
