The Southfield Zoning Board of Appeals made several administrative changes during its Dec. 16 meeting, voting to try an adjustment to the order of business, approving minutes and setting parts of the 2026 calendar.
Members approved a change to the board’s order of business that will have staff present the findings of fact and recommendation together earlier in the case presentation; the board agreed to run the new procedure next year and suggested staff check with the city attorney on the form. The board approved the Nov. 18 minutes with small spelling corrections and voted to amend the 2026 calendar to avoid known holiday and election conflicts, moving an April meeting to mid‑month and reducing August to a single meeting.
During the annual meeting portion the board conducted elections; a motion was made and Mr. Freriedman was retained as secretary. The board adjourned after approving the calendar and other routine business.
