Commissioners and staff said they would attempt to contact Allison Ambrose to determine whether the organization is active and who retains ownership of the awards. Eliza said a small group of awards and posters exist and that she has tried repeatedly to reach the current board; commissioners thanked her for her decades of service and asked staff to follow up with outreach.
The exchange highlighted local history and the commissioners asked staff to close the loop by attempting to contact the named board chair and reporting back to the speaker and the board.
