A borough moderator told participants the plant operates year-round and “pretty much harvests about 100,000 clams a day,” and explained the study will examine infrastructure repairs, dedicated office space, an elevated building to house an interactive museum and a glass viewing wall so visitors can watch processing without interfering with operations. The moderator credited Kathleen Shaw, the borough’s CRS coordinator, for writing the NJEDA planning grant that is funding the study.
