"Within 3 days, I stopped having diarrhea," she told the committee, and she said she continues to take ivermectin daily with reported improvements in other chronic conditions.
Committee members raised procedural questions about the bill's reporting requirement and whether notifying a patient's primary care physician preserves a continuum of care. The bill text requires pharmacists to notify the primary care physician when dispensing under the protocol; witnesses said their prescribing clinicians were aware of treatment and that the reporting requirement supports continuity.
The committee recorded the testimony and asked staff to confirm how the reporting protocol would operate in practice. No vote was taken at the hearing.
