St. Joseph council adopts assessments for delinquent utility and property accounts

The St. Joseph City Council on Oct. 20 adopted Resolution 2025067 to assess outstanding invoices for several delinquent accounts, including unpaid utility billing, weed-cutting property issues and a charge for a fire-department pool fill.
City staff told the council that property owners had been notified of the pending assessments and that the public hearing was published in the St. Cloud Times. No members of the public spoke during the hearing, and the council proceeded to vote.
A council member moved to adopt the resolution and, after a second, the motion carried by voice vote. The resolution directs that the assessments be applied as described in the staff report and follow standard municipal collection procedures.
