Council tables March minutes after members say account-closure language misrepresents vote

A council member said the minutes state "to approve closing the bank account," but the member said the council was not presented with that option and instead voted only on where the remaining funds should be allocated (either to a nonprofit or returned to the county). "We were never given the option of a recommendation. We were told ... that it would be ending," the member said, arguing the minutes were incomplete and needed amendment to reflect how the question was framed to members.
Pat asked that the proposed correction be recorded and offered to move approval if the suggested language were added; the council ultimately agreed to table approval of the March minutes and to reconsider them at the May meeting with specific attention to items 9A and 9B. Council members noted the practical consequences of closing the account (for example, that a treasurer role might be unnecessary if there is no checking account) and sought clearer wording documenting the process that led to the transfer decision.
The council did not take any additional formal action to reopen or reinstate the closed account during the meeting; the treasurer reported the account had been closed and a cashier's check for $157.60 had been sent to Missoula County for deposit into the community council fund.
