SRVUSD board accepts independent audit showing clean opinions with one immaterial state finding

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District Board of Education on Jan. 14 accepted an independent audit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, after a brief presentation from the district's external auditors.
Jeff Jensen, a partner at Crow LLP, told the board the district received unmodified (clean) opinions on its financial statements and federal compliance work and that there were no audit adjustments. He said the audit "went very well" and thanked district staff for completing information that allowed the audit to be finished on time.
Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Danny Hillman introduced the audit and thanked the business department and executive staff for the transition to the new audit firm. The report included a single immaterial state‑compliance finding; otherwise the firm reported the district's audited statements "are free of material misstatement," according to Jensen's oral summary.
Board members moved and approved acceptance of the audit by roll call. There was no public comment on the audit item.
The acceptance of the audit will allow the district to proceed with its budget discussions on an audited set of statements; the audit package is part of the public record and will be available on the district website for review.
