The board, after a closed‑session discussion, appointed Yasmin Alvarez as assistant principal at Lynwood High School with a 3–1 vote; the minutes readout recorded Miss Lopez as opposed and noted Trustee Morales was not present for that vote. The board then approved several settlements; the readout said those settlements were approved with four‑to‑zero votes with Mr. Morales not present and listed the total plan contributions as reported in the closed‑session readout.
Trustees also approved the consent agenda and multiple administrative and facilities items by voice vote, moved to schedule the district’s annual organizational meeting for Dec. 13, 2024, and accepted routine minutes and administrative reports. A single paper agenda item (agenda item 14a) was removed from the agenda and not considered tonight.
