Cloverdale Unified board unanimously reappoints superintendent; adopts goals and routine items

The Cloverdale Unified Board of Trustees reported on Oct. 8 that it voted unanimously in closed session to retain Superintendent Glenn Sinestro for another three years; the board said the details of his contract remain under negotiation. The action was reported during open session; the board did not disclose contract specifics at the meeting.
In open session the board also approved two superintendent goal areas for 2025–26: fiscal stability and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) reporting and progress. Trustee Zwitz moved to approve the goals and Trustee Lopez White seconded; the motion carried without opposition.
Routine business proceeded with the board approving the agenda order at the start of the meeting and adopting the consent calendar after a motion from Trustee Garrison and a second from Trustee Oamian. The board accepted donations to Cloverdale High School ($39.80) and Jefferson (approximately $136) by unanimous vote.
District staff reported an enrollment update: census-day enrollment (Oct. 1) was 1,257 districtwide, down 46 students from the prior year; the district reported current enrollment at 1,252 and an ADA for month two of about 1,190.94 (last year’s P2 ADA was 1,212.71). Board members said they will continue to monitor ADA and enrollment monthly as it affects funding.
The meeting concluded with scheduling of future meetings for Nov. 12 and Dec. 10 and adjournment at 6:43 p.m.
