The board further heard that one non-public school referenced in the discussion (identified in the meeting as "St. A's") elected not to use its allotment for security, so it does not appear as an award on the agenda.
Board members moved and seconded the consent-agenda motion (the motion was made for Mr. Nathansson and seconded by Mr. Mitchell), the board recorded votes by roll call and the chair announced the motion carried.
The consent agenda also included an amendment to the summer institute course booklet to correct the VEX IQ robotics course title and content before the program is offered.
The board opened the formal public-comment period afterward; no members of the public spoke.
